Denton Arts and Jazz Festival - Brave Combo

One of my favorite family outings every year is in April when the Denton Arts and Jazz fest is going on. Brave Combo is the last band to play on Sunday evening and it is always a great show. The kids were at an age that all were able to enjoy the show this year. Jillian and Jaden danced most of the night while Jorin just kind of hung out on the blanket trying on everybody else's shoes.

Jaden Sings the National Anthem

We are very proud of Jaden. Tonight, she sang the National Anthem at a Dallas Diamonds game and we think she did amazing, especially for her first time and only being 8 years old. She is very proud and had such a great time. The honorary guest was Drew Pearson who gave her great compliments and let her try on his Super Bowl ring. You can see him run up to high five her at the end.

Velocity Tour at the Dallas Cup

The kids on the Velocity Tour performed at the Dallas Cup this month. They did really well despite wind gusts of up to 50 MPH.

Butterflies

Kristi and the kids had a great time raising butterflies recently. Kristi ordered caterpillars the kids were able to watch develop in to butterflies. Every day they would draw the changes that had taken place since the day before. After they all became butterflies they released them in the front yard. The picture in this post is of all of the kids waiting for the butterflies to fly. Kristi is a great teacher and mom! :)
